COVO offers programmes in two key areas:
Both programmes cover: Supporting play and creative engagement; the link between play and learning; and supporting the parent-child relationship.
CHILDREN’S LEARNING
We deliver workshops with children using a combination of storytelling, movement and play to develop their social and emotional skills alongside their learning.
Our courses
One day course | Aimed at nursery nurses and any professional working with early years. The content will be based on specific needs of the client. |
One term programme | Workshops delivered on a weekly basis; they include separate sessions for children and teachers. |
One year partnership | This is an on-going intervention aimed at providing support within the curriculum while developing best practice for teaching staff. |

PARENT ENGAGEMENT
COVO works with parents and carers of children in early years education to support their engagement with their children’s learning. We do this through sharing creative skills and by strengthening their knowledge and confidence to support their child’s development outside of nursery and develop positive home-school links.
Our courses
One day course | An introduction for parents and support workers to experience some of the techniques/strategies for engaging with young children while providing a general insight into child development issues. |
Half term programme | This programme runs for seven weeks and is designed according to parents’ groups needs. |
One year partnership | Ongoing parents’ support for children’s centres and schools in the form of short courses and one-to-one support sessions. |
